What success looks like in your group, and why the word is pursue
A win for your group is an environment where people get the chance to pursue authentic community and spiritual growth. Two things. That is the whole target.
Sit on the word pursue. You cannot guarantee that community gets real or that anyone grows. You can build the room where both become possible. That part is yours.

Authentic community. Being real, vulnerable, and supportive as we grow together.
Spiritual growth. A deepening love for God expressed through our love for others and increasing faith.
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it, not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it, they will be blessed in what they do.
Everything about our groups lives in the “do what it says” part. Not collecting information. Putting it into practice.
1 Peter 5:8
Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
How can you create an environment where people feel safe to pursue growth?
