Two songs and some quiet, which is more than most groups ever do

Worship is one of the simplest ways to realign your heart with God’s. In a living room, it can also feel unfamiliar or a little intimidating.
That is fine. The goal is not a perfect moment. It is a shared one.
It will feel new, so name that out loud. Most groups have never worshiped together. Acknowledge the awkwardness and then invite people in. Naming it takes most of the weirdness out of the room.
Keep it simple. You do not want a guitar or a setlist. A YouTube video or a Spotify playlist is enough. One or two songs. Pick something your group might know from Sundays, or something that connects to the current series.

Worship is one of the ways we say thank you to God and remind ourselves who he is. Tonight we just want to take a few minutes to do that together.
We are going to play a couple of songs. You do not have to sing. Just be here.

Give people ten seconds of quiet before you ask anything.
