Serving Conversation
Ten minutes of hearing where people already serve, which does more than any announcement you could make
Leader Context
Check in on how your group members are serving, and let their stories do the work.
These questions lean toward people who are already on a team. That is on purpose. It is rare that we can communicate everything happening across our church, and your group members are some of the best people to share it. When they talk about their teams, the whole group learns where to pray, what gaps exist, and where somebody who is not serving yet might fit.
This should not take more than ten to twenty minutes. Build it in monthly, or quarterly at a minimum. It is a simple way to keep serving visible in your group.
Then fall back on the discussion questions when you are done.
Read to your group
One thing we do not always get to do is hear from each other about where we are serving. Tonight we are going to take a few minutes to do that.
If you are on a team at Hoboken Grace, or serving somewhere in the community, we want to hear about it. And if you are not yet, that is fine too. Just listen in and see what resonates.

Next Steps for Leaders
- Celebrate what you heard. A quick follow up message to your group after the conversation goes a long way.
- Write down any prayer requests that come up for teams and follow up on them in the weeks ahead.
- If someone expresses interest in joining a team, help make that connection. Reach out to the team leader and introduce them.
- If someone shows leadership potential or a clear passion for serving, tell your coach.
