Before you start the next thing, help your group name what the last thing did to them

When a series wraps, the healthiest thing your group can do is stop and talk about what it stirred up. Most groups skip straight to the next thing.
You do not reteach the series. Your job is to create space for honest reflection.
Two things worth doing before you start:
Name the theme clearly. One sentence. Remind the group what the last several weeks were actually about.
Check in on missed weeks. With holidays, weather, and life, your group probably skipped a week or two. Ask about it. “Was there a week you missed, or something we never really got to unpack?”
Move gently. These conversations surface personal stories. Let the conversation breathe instead of working through your list.
Read to your group
We just finished a series, and instead of jumping into the next thing, I want to spend tonight talking about what stuck.
There are no right answers here. I want to know what you are still chewing on.
Where you are
This one surfaces where people are thriving and where they are struggling.
Where are you right now in your walk with God?
What stayed with you
Let people think for a second before anyone answers.
What is the one takeaway from this series that shifted your perspective the most?
What it revealed
This can lead to some real honesty and some healing.
What did this series reveal about your expectations of God?
What is next
This gets it out of the head and into the week.
What is God calling you to do next based on what you have learned?
Going forward
Let this be the launching point for prayer and encouragement into the next season.
How can we support each other as we move forward?
